Learn about your flu shot benefit

Flu shots are covered under Medicare Part B (medical) coverage. Just show your ID card for medical coverage. Prescription drug plans (PDPs) don't cover flu shots. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends everyone 6 months and older get the flu shot.

1. Schedule an appointment with your doctor

2. Get your flu shot at a pharmacy

You can visit one of our network pharmacies (below) to get your flu shot at no extra cost to you. Just show them your member ID card and we’ll process your claim electronically. If you go to a pharmacy that’s not on the list, you’ll be required to pay the full cost when you get the shot. Then submit your claim for reimbursement.
